The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist.
This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist including: facial skincare, enhancement of eyebrows and eyelashes, waxing services, manicure, pedicure, effectiveness at work, health and safety and promoting additional products and services to clients.
Learners will further develop their understanding and skills base by undertaking a varied selection of treatment applications to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills depending upon their designated career pathway as a junior beauty therapist.

- Effectiveness at work
- Facials and Skincare
- Lash and Brow Treatments
- Salon Reception
- Promoting services and products
This course is completed over 12 - 15 days depending on the abilities of the student. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

Beauty Therapy NVQ L2 Dip VTCT
This course is ideal for those wishing to enter the beauty industry as a therapist to gain employment in a salon undertaking level 2 treatments. It is ideal for students aged 16 and over. It is especially suitable for adults wishing to work in the sector.
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work, working in our salon and will compile a portfolio of evidence.
No kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase tools, equipment and products to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.
This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
