The VTCT Level 2 Award in Nail Art will enable you to plan, design and apply nail art techniques using various mediums and gels such as transfers, nail art paints, and adornments such as glitter and foils. You will also study the health and saftey aspects connected to nail art application and participate in client consultation.

The unit of study is:

Proivde Nail Art
Follow health and safety practice in the salon
Client care and communication in beauty-related industries

This course is completed over 2 day. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients.

There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn.

This course is ideal for those wishing to apply nail art and incorporate it into their nail treatments. It is especially ideal for nail tecnicians who wish to extend their knowledge of nail and those who enjoy the design and application of different techniques.

Throughout the course you will be assessed by theory and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.

No kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase one to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.

This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
