The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF) is a practical-based qualification intended for those leading a team of internal quality assurance staff and working as an internal verifier themselves. It replaces the V1 qualification for IVs.

It is a Level 4 award and has been developed for internal quality assurance staff. This qualification is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). This qualification is approved and supported by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), the sector-owned body for the learning and skills sector.

The qualification is a practical-based qualification intended for those who internally verifier the assessment process within their occupational competency area in the work environment, salon, workshop, classroom or other training environment

The course consists of three units:
Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of Assessment
Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility
Internally assure the quality of assessment
