The VTCT Level 2 Award in Creating an Image Based on a Theme in the Hair and Beauty Sector (QCF) is a qualification that has been specifically designed to help you plan, develop and produce an image using a variety of skills both in hairdressing, beauty and makeup skills.

Create an image based on a theme within the hair and beauty sector

You will learn about a variety of simple and artistic techniques from blow-dry and setting hair, siple nail art and make-up tobring together a creative total look for assessment.

This is an ideal fun course that can be used to show you how to prepare for portfolio shoots, competitions or photographic shoots

This course is completed in one day. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in salon working on real clients.

There is also a theory content and a reserach assignment that needs to be completed online prior to the course which is delivered via our Online Classroom OlivElearn.

This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.

Requirements: You will need to attend a a black T-shirt or Salon Tunic and Trousers. You will also need makeup brushes for this course. You may be required to bring a model.

This course is ideal for those wishing to enter competitions or prepare their work for photoshoots` etc. It is also a fun course for those starting out tin the hair or makeup industry who want a taster of the industry sector.

This unit is suitable for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salons.

Prior to the start of the course you will research be given a research assignment/project via our Online Classroom OlivElearn. Here you will also study how to plan and develop your ideas. This must be carried out prior to attendance.

At our Centre you will be involved in practical applications and assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.

At the end of the day you will re-create the themed image you have developed using your technical hair and beauty skills. and it will be presented to a social media audience.

You will need a set of makeup brushes - please discuss this with Olive Training at the time of booking. Brushes are available for purchase. You may be required to source accessories, clothing and props for your final image - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your online course.

This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications
