This Course covers two units
- Create and Cast Small Prosthetic Pieces and Bald caps (UV30557)
- Apply Prosthetic Pieces and Bald Caps (UV30558)
This course offers you a more indepth learning experience in special effects allowing you to use a range of different products and techniques to build prosthetic pieces specially designed and prepared for the actor. You will also work on a project with the skills obtained and design a character for your application assessment.
You will learn to mould, sculpt and cast. This is very much a hands on course. You will also study the underpinning theory to support the unit and also show an understanding on how to make and apply the prosthetic to the actor/model.
This course is completed over 3 days. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques sometimes on real clients. YOu will be asked to complte pre-study online.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit. Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn. Some study is required prior to this course start date.
This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
Requirements: You will need to attend in a black t-shirt and trousers, and flat shoes. Please bring an apron or overalls. You will get messy on this course.
