The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Micro Dermabrasion Treatments is a technical level qualiffications for therapists and take their level 2 facial treatments to the next level. You will cover both crystal and diamond head MDA treatments.
You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, how to promote client care and communication in beauty related industries and the study of the resaons for ageing. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical application skills in microdermabrasion.
The unit of study is:
- Apply Microdermabrasion
- Physiology of ageing
- Client care and communication in beauty related industries
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
There is an option to add the unit of Dermatology and Microbiology (T&Cs apply) which can be study online alongside this course.
This course is completed over 2 days with online study resources as well as in the classroom prior to attending face to face. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.
Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn and you will be required to completed some learning prior to the start of the course.
This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
Requirements: You will need to attend in a Salon Tunic and Trousers.

Micro Dermabrasion Treatments L3 Cert VTCT
This course is ideal for adults wishing to extend their skills from level 2 beauty therapy facials.
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.
No kit or equipment is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase these to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course. Olive Training can arrange for extra salon time to be included after course hours to allow for more practical experience in the learner requires this. (t&cs apply).
