The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Aromatherapy for the Complementary Therapist has been designed to develop further the knowledge and understanding of advanced aromatherapy techniques and applications.
This qualification will enable you to further develop your knowledge of additional oils and their therapeutic uses and the theories and practices for advanced applications of prescriptive aromatherapy.
You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to blend essential oils at an advanced level to provide a prescription service for your clients using a range of different techniques. The units of study are:
- Interpersonal skills for the complementary therapist
- Advanced aromatherapy for the complementary therapist
- Advanced anatomy and physiology for the complementary therapist
This course is 4 days at our Centre. Sessions will include both therory based study and activities and a Salon Client Session gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out aromatherapy working on real clients. In between these days you will cover case study to improve your practise - these are discussed and reviewed in tutorials. You can expect your study period to last between three to six months.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
Requirements: You will need to attend a Salon Tunic and Trousers. A kit is also required for this course.

Aromatherapy for the Comp Therapist L4 Diploma VTCT
This course is ideal for those wishing to extend their careers into the use of essential oils and aromatherapy at an advanced level .
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of assignments, case studies, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.Home study via our Online classroom OlivElearn and the ability to complete a substantial number of case studies is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria for the awarding body.
A kit of essential oils is required for this course so that you can carry out case studies and practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.
This qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
