The VTCT Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skin Care will help you develop practical skills in how to provide a facial and offer good skin care treatments to your clients including different masks and heat treatments and an understanding of skin analysis. The units of study are:
- Health and Safety
- Client Care
- Facial Massage and Skincare
This course is completed over 2 days. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

Facial Massage & Skincare L2 Award VTCT
This course is ideal for those wishing to start their carreer as a beauty therapist or those who wish to focus on skin care or those wishing to go onto Level 3 facial electrical treatments. It is also popular with complimentary therapists who wish to add to their treatment menu and continuing professional development.
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence. There is also a requirement to carry out additional practise at home.
If you have not studied any other course previous to this one we will provide you with access to our Online Classroom to complete some work prior to the start date.
No kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase one to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.
