The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry is a qualification that will prepare you for a career as a make-up artist. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a make-up artist.

 

The units of study are:

  • Monitor Health and Safety
  • Client Consultation
  • Makeup Application
  • Instruct Makeup Lessons
  • Fashion and Photographic Makeup
  • Camouflage Makeup
  • Face and Body Art
  • Media Makeup
  • Promoting Products
  • Airbrush Makeup

 

This course is completed over 15 days which we highly recommend you complete over an extended period of 3 - 6 months in order that you get as much practise as possible between sessions and also spend time researching for your projects.  The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in salon working on real clients.

 

There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

 

Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn.

 

This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.

 

Requirements: You will need to attend a Salon Tunic and Trousers. You will also need at least two sets of makeup brushes

  • This course is ideal for those wishing to start their career as a makeup artist in the industry. It is especially ideal for 16 year plus. 

     

    Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence. 

     

    You will need at least two sets of makeup brushes - please discuss this with Olive Training at the time of booking.  Brushes are available for purchase. 

     

    No specific makeup kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase one to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course

     

    This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications
