The VTCT Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy is a specialist qualification that provides you with the knowledge and skills to practise ear candling treatments on clients using both candles and cones. The units of study are:
- Health and Safety
- Client Care and Consultation
- Thermal Aurical Therapy
This course which is completed over 1 day. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out on real clients in our salon.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.
Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn.
This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
Requirements: You will need to attend a Salon Tunic and Trousers.

Ear Candling - Thermal Auricular Therapy L2 Award VTCT
This course is ideal for beauty or complementary therapists wishing to add to their existing treatment menu and upskill. It is also an ideal place to start your complementary therapy career. It is an ideal continuing professional development course.
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, case studies, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.
No kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase a number of ear candles to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.
This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications
