The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Specialist Techniques provides you with the knowledge and skills to perform a high standard and wide range of beauty tratments in the salon environment.  The mandatory units of study are:

 

  • Health and Safety
  • Client Care
  • Facials and Skincare
  • Lash and Brow Treatments
  • Makeup

 

You can then choose from one of the following pathways:

 

Pathway One  

  • Manicure 
  • Pedicure

 

Pathway Two

  • Skin Tanning
  • Instruction on Makeup

 

Pathway Three

  • Waxing
  • Eyelash Perming
  • Salon Reception
  • Effective Running of the Business 

 

This course is completed over 10 days. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients.

 

There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.

 

Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn

 

This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
 

Requirements:  You will need to attend in a Salon Tunic and Trousers.

  • This course is ideal for those wishing to enter the beauty industry as a therapist and complete units of choice.  It is ideal for students aged 16 and over and especially suitable for adults wishing to work in the sector.

     

    Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence. 

     

    No kit is required for this course however we do recommend that you purchase one to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.

     

    This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications
