Design and build a prosthetic with the our help! Find out about the products, techniques and skills used to make this unique special effect. Learn how to apply your prosthetic and dress it to make a realistic special effect. You can choose your prosthetic from the theme below.
This workshop aims to give an understanding of designing and building a simple prosthetic from latex* and applying it to give an understanding of professional performance.
Choose one from the following themes :
- Zombie Arm
- Alien Heart
- Chest Monster
- Crime Scene Hand
- Horror Brain
- Fairy Ears
This is a hands-on workshop which also covers both the health and safety aspect and the basic theory of techniques. Take home own prosthetic and CD with up to 10 images showing special effects in situ for portfolio.
This 4 hours session is fun, informative and is a must for all budding special effects makeup artists. Suitable for 16 years plus to adults of any age.
NB.
Please expect to be both makeup artist and model in workshop situations
*Due to the use of latex and allergy issues a simple skin sensitivity test must be carried out prior to the workshop
